Headteacher's Welcome

Welcome to the Broxbourne School. We are proud to provide an outstanding education which shapes our young people to become confident, kind and hard-working adults, able to make a full contribution to society. 

In recent years the school has been completely rebuilt and all our stakeholders now benefit from state-of-the art facilities. These facilities support the exemplary teaching and learning provided by our highly qualified and experienced staff who work tirelessly to ensure all of our students enjoy the ‘Achievement and Opportunity For All’ that is our school’s mission. We have considerable strengths across the school curriculum in areas such as STEM, humanities and the arts to name but a few. However, our focus on academic progress is only one aspect of what makes our school unique; we are equally proud of the rich extra-curricular programme our pupils enjoy and the emphasis we place on kindness, character development and well-being. We have recently been inspected by Ofsted, and were delighted to be graded ‘Outstanding’ in every category. 

We are an inclusive school and are aware that not all pupils’ learning journeys are straightforward. We maintain unashamedly high expectations of our students both in terms of their academic progress and behaviour but do so in an inclusive, caring and secure environment. The close partnership we form with our supportive parental body is an essential ingredient of our sustained success.
